On Friday, May 16, 2008, MeetingTechOnline announced the winners of MTO Top Technology Suppliers 2008 Awards, honoring the most distinguished and innovative technology suppliers in the meetings and events industry. The candidate pool was notably exceptional this year, with numerous candidates displaying outstanding attributes of innovation, originality, and leadership in the development of technology tools. The pervasiveness of these qualities made the selection process more challenging for the panel of MTO staff responsible for choosing the winners.

Award decisions were settled based on interviews with various show managers and association executives in charged of the design and implementation of technology onto tradeshow floors and conference rooms. Potential candidates were assessed on the effectiveness of their particular technology solutions, applications, and services, as well as on the extent of innovation and interface. Certain features deemed significant by meetings professionals, such as ease of use and integration within show and event systems, are given substantial consideration as well.
